Wire Chair DKR
Herman Miller, 1951
Vitra’s DKR Wire Chair was created in 1951 when Charles and Ray Eames, inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s work, decided to create a light and durable chair with as small amount of materials as possible. The most functional solution turned out to be a square-shaped cross structure in steel wire. Thanks to its airy and ergonomic shape and the classic Eiffel base, Wire Chair DKR will bring fresh, graphic edge to all kinds of interiors year after year.
Dimensions: Height 85 cm, seat height 43 cm, width 49 cm, depth 51 cm
Offered here is an all original vintage Eames DKR; the seat and base are original to each other. The cushion on the chair is new one and made of naugahyde, from Modernica. The cushions are available in the colors brown and black.
