Most of our vintage Eames Herman Miller side chairs are pictured on a black H-base, but you can combine every shell with every base! You'll understand that that's a bit too much photography :)

We offer the best bases available; either eiffel (€130,-), oiled maple or walnut dowel (narrow or wide) or rocking bases (€150,-).

Modern Vintage is also offering various vintage bases for the Eames Herman Miller chairs.

Above you see armchairs with original vintage bases. DAR (eiffelbase), RAR (rockerbase) and LAX (low h-base).

Our stock contains vintage original La Fonda, stacking and H-bases, and also vintage and new original Eiffel bases (dsr, dar), dowel bases (dsw, daw) and rockerbases (dsr, rar) from either Vitra, Herman Miller, Seng or Zenith.

On the image above you see original recent production bases. DSW (dowel base), RAR (rocker) and DSR (eiffel). We can also order these.

The dowel and rockerbase comes in various combinations of wood and frame. The frame is either zinc / chrome or black, and the wood comes in oiled maple and walnut (vintage) or lacquered or stained maple (Vitra).

On the image above you see original vintage DKR (Seng pivoting dowel base), a stack of DSS (stacking base) and two armchairs (with various heights X-base).
